In 1978, deciding to take a gap year before university, I worked at Harrods as a buyer's clerk and fell in love with the fashion industry. University was forgotten, and I continued to work on the fashion floor at Harrods.
Moving on, I took up a position with Jaeger, and learnt more about fashion from a different angle.
A new challenge then came with Fenwick, working as a Lingerie buyer, a dream job! As a trained bra fitter I love that side of the business, and still fit and sell bras in Niche.
With a new husband and a baby on the way, I took a break from fashion and supported my husband Peter Farrow in his jewellery business, knowing that one day I'd be back.
That opportunity came in 2008 when I bought Niche Boutique, moving to the present store in 2010, and sharing the premises with my well known Goldsmith husband, the mixture of high end jewellery and stunning fashion working beautifully. Both businesses have thrived, specialising in incredible knowledge and exemplary service.
The next step for me is this web site, born out of necessity, and I hope you enjoy browsing through it as much as our customers enjoy coming to my shop in Rye.
